  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You are having thyroid surgery (open or endoscopic) under general anesthesia.
  • Your medical records will be available for review after surgery (at least 48 hours).
  • You (or a family member) can sign a consent form.
  • You do not have severe heart or lung disease, and you haven't taken steroids long-term.
