Who can take part

  • You are scheduled for a planned surgery that requires a breathing tube (not an emergency).
  • You are classified as ASA I (healthy) or ASA II (mild systemic disease) by your anesthesiologist.
  • You are between 18 and 65 years old.
  • Your body mass index (BMI) is between 18.5 and 30.
  • You do not have high blood pressure, serious heart or lung disease, sleep apnea, or a history of difficult intubation.
