Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 70 years old.
- You have been taking a hepatitis B antiviral pill (like entecavir, tenofovir, or similar) for more than a year, and you are still on it.
- You are HBeAg positive (a marker of active hepatitis B) and your virus level is still above 50 IU/mL.
- Your liver enzymes (ALT) are not more than 5 times the normal upper limit.
- You do not have cirrhosis (scarring of the liver) or liver cancer.
- You are willing to use effective birth control if you or your partner could become pregnant.
