Brain scans and therapy for midlife depression

Who can take part

  • You are between 40 and 60 years old.
  • You have been diagnosed with major depressive disorder (a type of depression) by a doctor.
  • Your current episode of depression has lasted at least 3 months.
  • You have at least mild symptoms of depression.
  • You have not had certain other mental health conditions like post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), obsessive-compulsive disorder, or an eating disorder.
  • You are able to undergo an MRI brain scan and do not have any metal in your body or other MRI contraindications.
