Who can take part

  • Aged 18 to 65 years
  • Diagnosed with major depression (or bipolar II depression, currently depressed)
  • Score at least 16 on a standard depression rating scale
  • Not taking any psychiatric medications or in therapy
  • Able to have an MRI brain scan (no metal implants, no severe claustrophobia)
  • Able to read and understand English
