Who can take part

  • You are between 10 and 18 years old.
  • You have been diagnosed with adolescent idiopathic scoliosis (a specific type of spine curve with no known cause).
  • Your spine has reached skeletal maturity (Risser sign 4 or 5).
  • Your curve type is Lenke 2, 3, or 4, and the curve measures between 40 and 70 degrees.
  • Your curve is progressing rapidly (more than 5 degrees per year) or causing functional problems needing surgery.
  • You have not had previous spine surgery, and you do not have other types of scoliosis (like congenital or neuromuscular).
