  • You are being treated for heart failure that has gotten worse and you need help removing extra fluid.
  • You are willing to have short ultrasound scans of your belly and chest during your hospital stay or clinic visit.
  • You have not had abdominal surgery in the past month.
  • You do not have severe liver disease, end-stage kidney disease on dialysis, or a recent heart attack.
