Visugromab plus standard chemo-immunotherapy for lung cancer

Metastatic Non-Squamous Non-Small Cell Lung CancerAdult Solid Tumor

Treatments studied

Part of Cancer, Lungs & breathing clinical trials.

This trial tests an experimental drug called visugromab added to standard chemotherapy and immunotherapy for people newly diagnosed with advanced non-squamous lung cancer. It aims to see if the combination works better than standard treatment alone.

Who can take part

  • You have non-small cell lung cancer that has spread to other parts of the body (stage IV) and it has not been treated yet.
  • Your tumor does not have a treatable gene change (like EGFR or ALK) that needs a targeted pill.
  • You have not had immunotherapy or chemotherapy for this cancer before, but it's okay if you finished preventive treatment more than 12 months ago.
  • You have a recent tumor biopsy that can be shared for research, and your PD-L1 level has been tested (if it's 50% or higher, immunotherapy alone is not right for you).
  • You are 18 or older, able to do daily activities with little help (ECOG 0-1), and your organs (bone marrow, liver, kidneys, blood clotting) work well.
  • You do not have active autoimmune disease, uncontrolled heart issues, lung scarring, or a recent heart attack or stroke.

Pembrolizumab plus or minus vaccine for advanced lung cancer

This Phase 2 trial studies pembrolizumab (an immune-boosting cancer medicine) alone or with an added investigational UV1 vaccine in people with advanced non-small cell lung cancer. It aims to see whether adding the vaccine improves safety and effectiveness, especially in tumors with high PD-L1 levels.
