Who can take part
- You've had a heart attack confirmed by a special X-ray (angiogram) and received a stent procedure (PCI).
- After the procedure, doctors noted damage to your heart muscle caused by restoring blood flow (ischemia-reperfusion injury).
- You are between 18 and 90 years old.
- You do not have an active infection.
- You have not had advanced heart failure (class III or IV), a recent stroke or brain event, active heart muscle inflammation (myocarditis), or serious heart rhythm problems.
- You have not been treated for cancer (except non-melanoma skin cancer) in the last 5 years, and your liver and kidney function are adequate (no severe kidney failure or advanced liver disease).
