Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 65 years old.
  • You have mild to moderate depression (not severe) and have been depressed for at least a short time.
  • You have had pain for 3 months or longer that is not from cancer or certain other causes.
  • You are right-handed and can see and hear normally (with glasses or hearing aids if needed).
  • You are not currently using strong painkillers, mood stabilizers, or certain other brain-affecting medications daily.
