- You are between 18 and 75 years old.
- You have been diagnosed with definite or probable ALS (not just suspected).
- Your breathing is still fairly strong: your forced vital capacity (FVC, a lung test) is at least 70% of expected for your age and size.
- You are willing to use effective contraception for 6 months after the trial ends (if applicable).
