Who can take part
- You must be 18 years or older.
- You must be on standard dialysis 3 times a week, at least 4 hours each session.
- Your dialysis must be working well (a KT/V test result of 1.4 or higher).
- You must not have an active infection or inflammation.
- You must have high levels of certain inflammatory markers (IL-6 or CRP) in your blood.
- You cannot be taking steroids or immune-suppressing drugs, and cannot have had a kidney transplant or have cancer.
