Who can take part

  • You are 18 to 65 years old.
  • You have a liver injury (from any cause), and a liver biopsy within the past 2 weeks.
  • You are willing to have a special ultrasound test called Visual Transient Elastography (ViTE) to check your liver's fat and stiffness.
  • You do NOT have acute viral hepatitis (a sudden liver infection).
  • You do NOT have severe heart failure with high liver enzyme or bilirubin levels.
  • You have NOT had liver cancer, are not pregnant, and do not have an implanted medical device (like a pacemaker).
