Bone scan to find non-healing after neck fusion surgery

Cervical Pseudarthrosis

This study is testing whether a special bone scan (tomoscintigraphy) can better detect non-healing (pseudarthrosis) after cervical spine fusion surgery. The goal is to see if it gives more accurate information than standard X-rays to help guide treatment decisions.

Who can take part

  • You are 21 years or older.
  • You have had cervical spine fusion surgery (neck bones fused together) at Clinique de la Sauvegarde or Clinique Convert.
  • Your neck pain and function score (NDI) is higher than 5, one year after surgery.
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • You do not have an allergy to the imaging agent (sodium oxidronate) used in the bone scan.
