Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 75 years old.
  • Your triglycerides are between 300 and 1000 mg/dL (about 3.4 to 11.3 mmol/L).
  • You have a body mass index (BMI) between 24 and 40.
  • You either are already on a stable dose of cholesterol-lowering medication, or you haven't taken any for at least 28 days before screening.
  • You must be willing to keep your usual diet, exercise, and lifestyle throughout the study.
  • You and your partner must use effective birth control during and for 6 months after the study.
