Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 45 years old.
  • Your body weight is under 70 kg if female, or under 85 kg if male.
  • You have a body mass index (BMI) between 18 and 25.
  • You have lived at a high-altitude location for at least the last 2 years and plan to stay for at least 2 more years.
  • You are generally healthy, not pregnant or breastfeeding, not a smoker, and not taking long-term medications (except birth control pills).
