This study looks at how different types of long-term birth control affect iron levels and how your body handles extreme conditions like high altitude or temperature changes. You will exercise in a small altitude room for about 6 hours to help researchers understand these effects.

Who can take part

  • You are a woman between 18 and 40 years old.
  • You have been using the same type of birth control (like the pill, IUD, or implant) for at least one year.
  • You are in good overall health and, if in the military, passed your last fitness test.
  • You can exercise at least twice a week (if you are a civilian).
  • You are willing to avoid alcohol, caffeine, and strenuous exercise for a short time before tests.
