Who can take part

  • Your age is between 6 and 70 years old.
  • You need surgery to remove one or two small liver tumors (each 5 cm or smaller) that have not spread outside the liver.
  • Your liver function is good enough (Child-Pugh class A or early B) even if you have cirrhosis.
  • You do not have active viral hepatitis (negative test for hepatitis B or C).
  • You do not have tumors that have invaded blood vessels or spread to other parts of the body.
