Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with early-stage liver cancer (Stage I or IIa) confirmed by imaging or biopsy
  • Your liver function is relatively preserved (Child-Pugh Class A or B)
  • Your cancer is small: either one tumor ≤5 cm across, or 2-3 tumors with the largest ≤3 cm
  • You are planning to have liver surgery (either surgical removal or heat ablation)
  • You have had MRI and/or contrast ultrasound imaging done within the month before surgery
  • You do not have cancer spread outside the liver or another type of cancer
