This trial tests a special device (p48/64 MW HPC) to treat certain brain aneurysms that are wide-necked or have a shape that makes them hard to treat. It might help people with aneurysms that haven't ruptured or that have been treated before and are now coming back.

Who can take part

  • Be 18 years or older
  • Be able to do everyday activities with little or no help (mRS score 2 or less)
  • Have a brain aneurysm that hasn't burst or one that was previously treated and is now open again
  • The aneurysm must be in the internal carotid artery or its branches, and be either a sac-like or spindle shape
  • The aneurysm must have a wide neck (at least 4 mm) or a small dome-to-neck ratio (less than 2)
  • The blood vessel that the device goes into must be between 2.0 mm and 5.0 mm wide
  • Not have had a similar flow-diverting device or stent in the same vessel before
  • Not have any other brain aneurysm that needs treatment within the next 3 months
  • Not have had a bleeding stroke in the last 30 days
  • Not be pregnant or planning to become pregnant during the study
