  • You are between 18 and 75 years old.
  • Your body mass index (BMI) is between 18 and 30.
  • You are scheduled to have orthopedic, abdominal, or chest surgery under general anesthesia.
  • You can understand how to rate your pain using a simple 0-10 scale.
  • Your pain level is at least 4 out of 10 right now.
