Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 75 years old.
  • Your weight is in a healthy range (BMI between 18 and 30).
  • You are scheduled for abdominal surgery and will likely have moderate to severe pain after the procedure.
  • You are able to understand the study and use a pain scale (like asking you to rate your pain from 0 to 10).
  • After surgery, you will be awake and have at least a moderate pain level (NRS score of 4 or more).
