Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older.
- You are scheduled for abdominal surgery that will last at least 1 hour under general anesthesia.
- Your pain level is 4 or more on a 0-10 scale within 4 hours after surgery.
- You have a body mass index (BMI) between 18 and 30.
- You are in generally stable health (classified as ASA I or II by your anesthesiologist).
- You agree to use effective birth control during the study and for 3 months after.
