  • Your child is between 1 and 8 years old
  • Your child is generally healthy (ASA status I or II)
  • Your child is scheduled for a hernia surgery called PIRS
  • Your child will receive either a rectus sheath block or a caudal epidural block for pain
  • Your child does not have a bleeding disorder or history of easy bleeding
