Who can take part

  • Your baby must be born at this hospital (not transferred in after birth).
  • Your baby must be at least 34 weeks along in pregnancy.
  • Your baby must have needed help breathing right after birth with a mask or breathing tube.
  • Your baby cannot have a condition called congenital diaphragmatic hernia (a hole in the chest muscle).
  • Your baby cannot have any unusual airway problems (like a blocked or narrow windpipe).
