Who can take part

  • You are between 50 and 85 years old.
  • You have geographic atrophy (a type of advanced dry AMD) that affects the center of your vision.
  • The damaged area in your eye must be a certain size—between about 2 and 7 times the size of a standard disc in your retina.
  • Your vision in the study eye is between 20/50 and 20/400 (meaning you can read the large letter on an eye chart but not the smaller ones).
  • You have not had any previous gene therapy or radiation around the eye.
  • You have not had eye surgery in the last 3 months, and you do not have any eye infections or certain other eye conditions.
