Who can take part
- You are a generally healthy adult with no major medical conditions like diabetes or rheumatoid arthritis.
- You have healthy gums, mild gum inflammation (gingivitis), or advanced gum disease (periodontitis).
- You have not taken antibiotics, anti-inflammatory drugs, or antioxidants in the past 3 months.
- You have not had any gum treatment (deep cleaning) in the past 6 months, or gum surgery in the past year.
- You are not pregnant, breastfeeding, a smoker, or a heavy drinker, and have at least 10 teeth.
