Who can take part
- You must have hepatitis B (positive for hepatitis B surface antigen).
- You should also have at least one of: cirrhosis, type 2 diabetes, a family history of cirrhosis or liver cancer, long-term heavy alcohol use, a liver biopsy showing scarring, or a high liver stiffness measurement (FibroScan).
- You cannot have any current cancer, have had a liver transplant, or have HIV.
- You must be expected to live more than a year and have no severe organ problems or mental health conditions that would make participation difficult.
