Who can take part

  • You are 18 years old or older.
  • You were diagnosed with preeclampsia (with or without severe features, HELLP syndrome, or eclampsia) during pregnancy or within 24 hours after delivery.
  • You delivered your baby at 20 weeks or later in the pregnancy.
  • You do not have a history of high blood pressure before pregnancy (chronic hypertension).
  • You do not have kidney disease (stage 3 or higher) or current kidney problems (creatinine level above 1.1 mg/dL).
  • You are not allergic to furosemide (a water pill) or sulfa drugs.
