Who can take part

  • You are between 14 and 65 years old.
  • You weigh between 40 and 90 kilograms.
  • You have active TB that is resistant to the antibiotic rifampicin (confirmed by lab tests within the last 3 months).
  • Your sputum test shows TB bacteria (moderate or higher on two tests, or high on one and moderate on another).
  • If you are currently on TB treatment, you are willing to stop and have a 7-day break before starting the study drug.
  • You agree to use effective birth control during the study and for 6 months after stopping the drug (if applicable).
