Who can take part
- You have drug-susceptible TB (TB bacteria that respond to standard medicines), confirmed by a recent sputum test showing no drug resistance
- Your general health is stable enough for treatment (Karnofsky performance score of 50 or higher)
- Your liver, kidneys, and blood cell counts are working well enough to handle TB medicines
- If you are pregnant or able to become pregnant, you are not pregnant now and agree to use reliable non-hormonal birth control during treatment
- If living with HIV, your CD4 count is at least 50 cells/mm³ and you are on or willing to start a specific HIV medicine (efavirenz or dolutegravir based)
