Who can take part

  • You are at least 14 years old and weigh at least 66 pounds (30 kg).
  • You have drug-resistant tuberculosis (TB) that is confirmed by a special test (Xpert MTB/RIF Ultra).
  • You can provide a sputum (phlegm) sample for testing.
  • If you could become pregnant, you must use two reliable birth control methods during treatment and for 12 weeks after the last dose.
  • You do not have serious heart, liver, kidney, nerve, or bleeding problems, and your lab test results are within safe limits.
  • You are not currently taking certain other TB medicines or experimental drugs, and you have not taken them in the past 3 months.
