  • You are 18 years or older
  • You have been diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease) by a neurologist
  • Your doctor has decided you need non-invasive ventilation (NIV) because your breathing is weak during the day or night
  • You do not use NIV all the time (24 hours a day)
  • You are willing to take part in the study
