Who can take part

  • You are 16 years or older
  • You have been admitted to a medical-surgical ICU at a participating hospital
  • Your doctor has ordered a magnesium replacement protocol
  • You do not have sustained ventricular tachycardia (a fast, serious heart rhythm)
  • You do not have pre-eclampsia (a pregnancy complication with high blood pressure)
  • You do not have myasthenia gravis (a muscle weakness condition)
