TENS vs. painkiller for kidney stone pain

Who can take part

  • You must be 18 years or older.
  • A doctor must have confirmed you have kidney stone pain (renal colic).
  • You cannot have taken any painkillers before arriving at the hospital for this episode.
  • You cannot be pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • You must be awake and able to communicate clearly.
  • No medical conditions that make TENS or the study drug unsafe for you.
