Who can take part
- You are between 12 and 60 years old.
- You have been diagnosed with high-risk acute myeloid leukemia (AML) or myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) based on specific genetic or other features.
- For AML, your disease must be in remission (complete remission or complete remission with incomplete blood count recovery) before the transplant.
- For MDS, your bone marrow must have less than 20% blasts (immature cells).
- You have a matched related or unrelated donor (9 or 10 out of 10 HLA match).
- Your heart, kidney, and liver function are good enough (as determined by standard tests).
