Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 80 years old.
  • You have a solid tumor (like lung, breast, or colon cancer) diagnosed by biopsy.
  • You are currently getting chemotherapy along with radiation or immunotherapy.
  • Your platelet count is low but not too low—between 25 and 75 billion per liter in the last 3 days.
  • You have not used any other platelet-raising treatments (like Nplate or Neumega) before.
  • You do not have other blood disorders (like leukemia, aplastic anemia, or myelodysplastic syndrome).
