Who can take part
- You have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia using current medical criteria
- You are 18 years old or older
- Your pain is moderate to severe (rated more than 4 on a 0-10 scale) and has not been helped enough by non-drug treatments like physical therapy or exercise
- You have not yet tried the recommended first-choice medications for fibromyalgia
- You do not have other major health problems like uncontrolled diabetes, heart disease, or liver/kidney disease
- You are not allergic to pregabalin or venlafaxine, are not pregnant or breastfeeding, and do not have a history of psychiatric illness
