This study aims to develop trustworthy artificial intelligence (AI) tools to predict the risk and progression of vascular diseases like abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) and peripheral arterial disease (PAD). Participants will use a mobile health app to help researchers create better prediction models.

Who can take part

  • You are between 40 and 90 years old.
  • You have an abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) larger than 3 cm (or 1.5 times wider than the normal part of your aorta) OR you have peripheral arterial disease (PAD) at stage Fontaine 2a or 2b (leg pain when walking that goes away with rest).
  • You have not had surgery for AAA before and are not scheduled for AAA surgery in the next 6 months.
  • Your AAA is not infected, mycotic (caused by infection), or ruptured.
  • You are able to use a mobile health app available in Dutch, English, German, Portuguese, Serbian, Finnish, or Swedish.
