Who can take part

  • You are between 55 and 80 years old.
  • You have normal hearing or age-related hearing loss (you may or may not use hearing aids).
  • You have not had a traumatic brain injury or noise-related ear damage.
  • You do not have a pacemaker or any other implanted metal device.
  • You do not have a history of heart conditions.
  • You are not taking medications that affect brain chemicals involved in vagus nerve stimulation.
