Fast TILs for metastatic cancer with pleural disease
Treatments studied
Part of Cancer, Lungs & breathing clinical trials.
This trial tests a new therapy using your own immune cells (called TILs) to treat cancer that has spread to the lining of the lungs. The goal is to see if these cells can shrink tumors and help you feel better.
Summary written for real people, not researchers, by Clin2.
Who can take part
- You have cancer that has spread to the lining of your lungs (pleura) or mesothelioma with fluid buildup.
- You have tried standard treatments but they no longer work or you cannot tolerate them.
- You are between 18 and 79 years old.
- Your heart is strong enough (ejection fraction at least 45%).
- You do not need oxygen and are not short of breath after draining the fluid.
- You are able to care for yourself (ECOG score 0 or 1).

This trial tests a treatment using your own immune cells (T cells) to fight cancer that has spread to the lining of the lung and is causing fluid buildup. It may help if other standard treatments have stopped working.
This trial tests a combination of immune cells from your tumor (TILs) and an immunotherapy drug (pembrolizumab) for stomach or esophageal cancer that has spread or returned after other treatments. It may help if standard options have failed.
This trial tests a treatment that uses your own immune cells, called TILs, to fight advanced solid tumors. The cells are taken from a biopsy of your tumor, multiplied in a lab, and then given back to you. It might help if you have tried other treatments without success, or if no standard treatment is available.
This trial tests a personalized treatment using your own immune cells (called TILs) to fight advanced non-small cell lung cancer that has progressed after standard therapy. You would have surgery to collect a tumor sample, then receive your expanded immune cells back as an infusion.
This trial tests a new immune therapy using your own white blood cells (tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes) to treat non-small-cell lung cancer that has come back or grown. If you have multiple lung spots or your cancer has progressed after surgery or targeted therapy, this study may offer a treatment option.
This Phase 2 study tests a T-cell–based immunotherapy for people with metastatic non-small cell lung cancer that has grown despite prior treatment. It may help your immune system recognize and fight your cancer using cells made from your tumor.
