Who can take part

  • You are a healthy adult aged 18 or older.
  • You either drink at least 1 cup of coffee or 1 energy drink daily, or you rarely have caffeine (no more than 1 cup per month).
  • You have been a regular consumer or non-consumer of caffeine for at least 6 months.
  • You are willing to fast before certain study procedures.
  • You do not have any chronic illness (like diabetes or thyroid problems) or take medication that affects your metabolism.
  • You have no personal history of cancer, blood disorders, or radiation therapy.
  • You are not allergic or sensitive to caffeine.
  • You do not have a weakened immune system.
