Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have a gallbladder condition (symptomatic gallstones or polyps) and are scheduled for keyhole surgery to remove it.
  • You are able to understand and sign a consent form.
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • You do not have severe chronic kidney disease, thyroid disease, or allergies to the dye or iodine-based contrast materials.
  • You are not having emergency surgery or open (non-keyhole) surgery, and there is no suspicion of gallbladder cancer.
