Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You need gallbladder removal surgery that is expected to be tricky because of inflammation, past pancreas or bile duct problems, prior belly surgery, or obesity.
  • You do not have an allergy to ICG (a dye used in the study) or iodine.
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • You do not have serious kidney disease (stage 3b or worse).
