Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older.
- You are on the kidney transplant waiting list and have a compatible organ offer, with the transplant happening within 1 to 5 days.
- You tested positive for COVID-19 (via a nasal swab) within the last 5 days.
- You have had at least three doses of a COVID-19 vaccine, and it has been at least 3 months since your last dose.
- You have no or only mild COVID-19 symptoms (like headache, sore throat, cough, or fatigue), but no fever above 38°C or shortness of breath in the last 48 hours.
- If you are a woman able to have children, you agree to avoid pregnancy during the study.
- You are not pregnant or breastfeeding.
- You do not need extra oxygen or have severe lung disease.
- You do not have a known allergy to remdesivir.
- You have not had an ABO-incompatible kidney transplant or certain other transplant treatments.
