This study tests whether combining a time-restricted eating plan, a heart-healthy diet, and a weight-loss medication (GLP-1 receptor agonist) can help improve heart health and weight in men with prostate cancer who are receiving hormone therapy. It aims to reduce the risk of heart problems caused by hormone treatment.

Who can take part

  • Be a man between 30 and 79 years old.
  • Have prostate cancer that is either intermediate-risk and you'll get radiation plus 6 months of hormone therapy, or a rising PSA after prostate removal and you'll get salvage radiation plus 6 months of hormone therapy.
  • Be overweight or obese (BMI 27 or higher with a weight-related health problem, or BMI 30+).
  • Not be on a strict diet (like keto, low-carb, paleo, or warrior diet) or already taking a GLP-1 medication for weight loss/diabetes.
  • Not have poorly controlled diabetes, a history of pancreatitis, or certain thyroid or kidney conditions.
  • Speak English, Spanish, or Mandarin and be willing to provide a stored tumor sample.
