Who can take part

  • You are an adult (18 years or older) with short bowel syndrome.
  • You currently receive parenteral nutrition or fluids at least 4 days per week and at least 10 liters per week.
  • Your medical condition is stable.
  • You do not have known liver cirrhosis (scarring of the liver).
  • You do not have an active infection, severe dehydration, or electrolyte problems.
