  • You need a pacemaker for conditions like slow heart rate, fainting, or certain heart block problems.
  • You must be getting your first permanent pacemaker (no prior pacemaker or defibrillator implants).
  • You cannot have a mechanical heart valve in the tricuspid position or need dialysis.
  • You must be 18 or older and able to attend follow-up visits as scheduled.
