Adaptive radiation boost study for rectal cancer

Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with rectal adenocarcinoma (a type of rectal cancer).
  • Your cancer is stage T2-3, N0-1, M0 (not spread to distant organs).
  • You are willing to have MRI scans and CT scans (or PET-CT) for staging.
  • You are at least 18 years old and in good enough health to have daily activities (ECOG 0 or 1).
  • Your blood counts and liver function are within normal limits.
  • You can take the chemotherapy drugs capecitabine and FOLFOX (or 5-FU or capecitabine).
