Who can take part

  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • Your body mass index (BMI) must be 18 or higher.
  • You must have either a history of artery disease (like heart attack or stroke) with LDL cholesterol at least 1.8 mmol/L, OR have intermediate/high risk for artery disease with LDL at least 2.6 mmol/L.
  • You must agree to use effective birth control if you or your partner could become pregnant.
  • You cannot have very high triglycerides (above 5.6 mmol/L) or certain other conditions (like recent heart event, severe heart failure, cancer within 5 years, or poorly controlled diabetes/high blood pressure).
